Weight Limits for Everest Base Camp chopper Tour

Each chopper has a weight limit and as far as possible, for EBC Helicopter flights the weight limit is 500kgs. The helicopter serves 2 pax, 3 pax, 4 pax and 5 pax for a flight to Everest Base Camp. 5 people are the max limit for this helicopter outing to Mount Everest. At the point when the passengers are up to 3, the Helicopter moves directly from Lukla to Everest Base Camp.

however, by chance if the passengers surpasses 3 (which means 4-5 pax), the need will arise for running 2 transport helicopter flights from Pheriche (4371 Meters) to Everest Base Camp (keeping up the weight under 250kgs to normal). For this, you will have a heli departure from Lukla to Pheriche, oversee weight there and do helicopter flights to Everest Base Camp.

Note on bunch loads: The referenced expense is only just for a bus or twice and is without a doubt. You should consider the all-out weight which is the most extreme up to 240 kg for single transport and twofold transport for 500 kg (remember, the Max number of individuals in a Helicopter is 5). On the off chance that the number of people exceeds the max limit, you will require another Helicopter to begin the visit from Kathmandu and you will be charged the full expense of another helicopter. The most extreme carrying limit of a Helicopter in the mountains over 4400 Meters is just 240 Kg, if the weight surpasses that you may require an additional shuttle because of weight problems. (E.g., 3 individuals of 100 kg each need 2 transport and 100 kg's of 5 individuals needs 3 shuttles over 4400 Meter).

In such a scenario, you will be charged US$ 700 extra for each additional shuttle (which is of course shared by the group].

Sometimes, the landing spot at EBC disappears due to landslides too. Just to keep you informed, you will not see Mt. Everest from its Base Camp. In case if it’s not possible to land the pilots take a touching distance between the base camp and Everest.

04. How long is the landing at Base Camp and Kalapathar?

Let this not worry you. The pilots are very experienced in flying helicopters at high elevation and they have been flying for over a decade. For a private tour, you may take our guide too.

06. Is Oxygen available on Helicopter and can kids take this flight?

Yes, in over a decade of experience, this is a question that is asked often. Please kindly note that there will be oxygen inside the helicopter and automatically maintained at high elevations above 3000 meters. Small kids and old people can easily take this flight. No worries on this front.

07. What happens in case of bad weather and flights don’t take off?

In this case, your flight is either postponed for the following day if you have time. If you don’t have time you will get a full refund. Normally, if it is bad weather in the mountains, the Helicopter will not take off from Kathmandu at all. Your safety is paramount to us

08. How Can I book an Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
